Visit Us At Your Own Risk!

Autumn is here…and so are the black walnuts.  If you were to step outside our door, you would find…

…walnuts strewn over our deck.

As I sat in the kitchen sipping my coffee, I saw a gust of wind shake                                         our giant tree, and then a horrible thunking sound ensued as walnuts                           shot down from the tree, hitting everything in sight.

Visit us at your own risk!

This is the view straight above our entrance way: branches loaded with hard, green bullets.

Take Josh’s visual warning:

Although we have no use for them, a man and his grandson are collecting them and putting them to good use.  I’ll tell about that in another post.  🙂

But for now, here’s a parting shot (no pun intended, haha)

Hi there! I just happened by your blog, and I’m amazed that all you have managed to accomplish (and document!) in such a short time. I am getting ready to move into my first home next month and appreciate all your ideas. Whereabouts do you live? I’m curious because you mentioned growing peaches, but your surroundings look somewhat Midwestern.
    Looking forward to reading more!
