Old Fashioned Pub Sign

Before:

DSC_4551

A $2 wood sign picked up at an estate sale. I didn’t like the cheesy nautical theme painted on it, but I had greater things in mind. I sanded it down (you can still see the anchor and lettering) and then painted it myself!

After:

I changed the sign into a pub sign.

I changed the sign into a pub sign. I painted it, leaving some of the wood untouched, which I then brushed with linseed oil. This added character and brought out the grain of the wood.
